Wallace, Local Workers to Discuss Rauner's Destructive Corporate Agenda at Press Conference

ROCKFORD, Ill. – State Rep. Litesa Wallace, D-Rockford, will join local workers Thursday at 10 a.m. at the E. J. "Zeke" Giorgi Center's Worker's Memorial to speak out against Gov. Bruce Rauner's agenda of putting corporate profits ahead of workers' safety.

States that have sought to reduce workforce safety regulations and limit worker bargaining power have recently received national attention due to the increase of worker injuries and fatalities. A recent story from Bloomberg Businessweek put a spotlight on the frequency of avoidable injuries that now take place in the state of Alabama.

Wallace is instead calling for real reforms that lift up the middle class, not tear it down.
