STREET REPORT: STAND WITH WORKERS FIGHTING FOR GOOD JOBS

"STAND WITH WORKERS FIGHTING FOR GOOD JOBS"

Last Friday, 40,000 CWA members working at AT&T across the country conducted a successful three-day strike which ended on Monday, when CWA members returned to their regularly scheduled shifts. Wireless workers at AT&T have seen their salaries eroded year after year and their benefits get more and more expensive. It's getting almost impossible to make ends meet working at AT&T Mobility.  CWA families are striking to protect their jobs (which are being outsourced left and right), preserve affordable health care, and stop their wages from stagnating.

Say NO to Outsourcing at Rockford Schools!

The Rockford School Board is seeking to contract out school bus drivers to a third party. Email the board right now and urge them to STOP their plans of outsourcing school bus drivers and other school employees. Instead, bargain in good faith with school bus drivers, paraprofessionals and nutritional service employees who need fair wages and affordable health care.

Rockford needs good jobs that make our community stronger, not poverty wages that drag us all down. Together we can make our city's future brighter.
